1. OpenAI’s Shap-e
OpenAI rolled out their new text-to-3D model called Shap-e. It allows users to input prompts and generates 3D images based on the text. Users can play around with Shap-e on the Hugging Face website.
2. Lovelace Studio’s Text-to-Metaverse:
Lovelace Studio showcased their tool for creating text-to-metaverse experiences. They demonstrated a snowy alien world and the Great Lost City of Atlantis, generated using dynamic landscapes, geologies, lighting, and more within Unreal Engine.
3. Meta’s Image2Audio and Audio2Image:
Meta (formerly Facebook) open-sourced their image2audio, audio2image, text2image, and audio+image2image Software ImageBind. These models can generate audio from images, images from audio, and more.
4. IBM’s Watson X AI:
IBM announced their expansion into the AI space with Watson X AI. It appears to be their version of large language models like GPT-4 or Palantir‘s Palm 2. Watson X is expected to be available in July.
5. Wendy’s AI Chatbots:
Wendy’s plans to test AI chatbots for drive-through ordering, potentially using Google’s Palm 2 technology. This follows McDonald’s unsuccessful attempt at using similar AI chatbots.

Airtable announced the addition of AI functionality to its platform, allowing users to leverage AI-powered features like text classification, summarization, translation, image generation, and more.
